Electrical Condition Inspection

The Electrical Condition Inspection Program is a major Maintenance Program. All of Council's assets with an electrical component are inspected at in accordance with the cycle set in the Asset Maintenance Management System. The Electrical Condition Inspection of Switchboards containing Safety Switches will include a performance test of the Safety Switch. This is to be managed by the work instruction for this activity.

Depending on the asset, various checks are undertaken.
The following documents detail these checks:

2. Maintenance Procedure Electrician Duties

The Electrical condition inspection program serves a number of purposes. The most significant possibly is to monitor and report on the condition of electrical equipment owned and operated by BuCC. Another important purpose for this inspection is to carry out minor corrective actions whilst on site. The reports from these inspections also serve to generate larger maintenance jobs and budget considerations.
